Masquerading in a body not my own,
Appearances plastered rigid on the white wall,
Emotions and thoughts buried deep down inside,
all that is known is a lie.
Beauty is only skin deep they say,
What you see is never the truth,
Like paper flowers left out on display,
all that is, is but a fake.
Thoughts and feelings dare not be said,
Lest they betray you to others,
all that is seen is a facade.
Unshed tears well up behind tired eyes,
Cracking baritone shatters the walls of silence,
Waves of betrayal permeate the damp air.
Bitter hope
Supressed Silence
Hidden Dreams
Betrayed Women
Betrayed Men
All is quiet
silence
I really enjoyed this. Provoking. Keep posting.
