The Quality of Ignorance - The Dilemma of Truth
In a world of acquisitions, loaded with the misnomers of wants & needs,
It is not so strange that blind are they that lead.
Seeing the darkness is not the same as seeing through it.
The darkness in daylight, alas, the blind are led to the pit.
If no man is an island, why then are we abandoned with the phrase, "To each his own"?
Is it any wonder then, why there are many souls that moan?
We work for "this" to buy for "that," to please each and all our senses,
Not counting the cost as time slips by - Where then are your defenses?
God does indeed cry for the human race,
Yet who is there who will work to seek & find the glory of His grace?
Praises are right - in their respective place and time.
But actions speak louder than words (unto God) - all else is but a mime.
To seek the truth within and finding such, to be at peace,
With God indwelling, meshed with the soul, and wants & needs to cease.
Yet darkened islands, the souls of people be.
For if the truth be told for all the world to see,
Falsity everywhere for sale, appeals with a beckoning hell.
For the sad truth is, in this material world - the truth just does not "sell."

I liked your poem. I agree that all is vanity in this world and no one wants to hear the truth. What good is hearing the truth when you have problems of your own. If people were real with themselves, theyed be more open to the truth.
Thank you, Gvapid....much appreciated comments.
Yes, Ignorance is bliss but there is ONE thing good I can say about it....
(p.s. Don't hold your breath waiting for the answer....
