Hey guys, I know I already posted on linux and its superiority but now I have a quicky. I wanna pick up a cheapo laptop and go mobil with it, anyone know if the toshiba satilites and hp pavilions in the 1200 dollar range cause a lot of problems with driver installs? I would like to have my DVD combo, wireless and stuff running on the linux laptop. I had had minor problems iwth towers but they are usually pretty solvable; how aobut laptops?
Shouldn't be awful much different. There will be issues, but the workarounds and solutions for just about all of 'em are gonna be found in the Linux usergroups, forums, and on UseNet.
