I can navigate with IE but i cant type anything. As well, I am being blocked from a number of different sites (antivirus, microsoft, etc). I'm able to use Firefox no problem though.

Also, Zonealarm keeps popping up "services.exe" asking for internet access. Not sure if this is related.

Heres my hi-jackthis log:

Hi and welcome to A2k fatboy.

Download Hoster.zip extract to your desktop, then click on 'Restore Original Hosts'.

Let us know if you can get to any AV sites now.
If so,
Please run these two online scans. Make sure they are set to clean automatically:

TrendMicro's HouseCall
ActiveScan

You should try to delete any files that these scanners are unable to clean. Then let us know if its working better and what the scans found.

Let us know how you make out

Hoster downloaded and restored settings

I was able to get to both antivirus sites but I was only able to use Trend Micro. When I tried to start the Activescan, I continued to get the white 'page not found' screen.

Trend Micro's scan found 2 files:

JAVA OPENSTR.A C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\java installer.jar-3cc46f89-77ce4c8e.zip *javainstaller\installerApplet.class*

BKDR IROFFER.A C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\win32\services.exe

The scan said both were uncleannable so I was able to manually delete the java file and program. I couldn't find the other file though. There was no 'dllcache' in the 'system32' file.

IE is still acting funny. I can access some pages yet I can't get a cursor anywhere to type or do searches.

I tried to run an RAV scan but it kept getting hung up during it's definition updating. I ran another Trend Micro scan instead. It didn't turn up anything.

Unfortunately, I'm still having the same problems with IE. Sometimes 'page not found' is popping up and I still cant get any cursor to type on pages.

Here's my new HJT log:

I've tried a number of times, but I keep getting 'cannot display page' with IE. Firefox, of course, can't access those areas
