I have a desk top computer with no monitor. I have a lap top. I wanted to use a KVM switch to connect my lap top monitor to be used with my desk top. I went to Compusa, but they said I can not use the lap top monitor for my desk top. Is that true? If it is what is my solution? I really don't want to buy a monitor...

Thanks

You cannot use your laptop display in a KVM configuration, however, if you are on a network, you can connect to the desktop and display back to the laptop, as if it were the console. It's called remote desktop. Search for "mstsc.exe" on your C: drive, then double click on it. It will ask you for the remote machine name. Very cool.
