My grandparents' (well, more specifically my father's parents' Very Happy ) home is located in this town.

It is a very small town, so small that I even can take the picture of the entire town by just one shot.
The town is quite close to the coast, no more than 50 kilometers away (how many miles? sorry Embarrassed ).
I believe this town was built no later than 200 years ago. To find out why, just to see my following photos

I have been there for two times in half a year---- first in last summer and next was during the spring festival.
So sometimes I will intend to show some contrast between different seasons just at a same spot

I will post 1-2 photos everyday.
OK, All aboard please, lets move!!

THis is a brief view.
As you can see the view is consisting mainly of several parts: a cluster of houses, hills, bambooland, and a dam
You see that dam on the top right of the picture?
That has become a vitally important area of the town since its construction.

Bamboo is almost a symbol of oriental culture.
Bamboos after the rain can make up a very good bathroom: Just shake a bamboo with the force equivalent of that you press a button on the keyboard with , and be ready for the heavy shower! Very Happy

Thank you, ^JB^.

What a wonderful idea. The first photo looks like it could have been taken along the Rhine River in Germany many years ago.

Question
Years ago? Rhine River has been industrialized that badly?

The style of the houses, from a distance, looks like an older type of German home, ^JB^.

^JB^ - thanks for posting these pictures. We often hear very little about the little towns of China. I can't wait to see more!

The hills presented in two photos are indeed the same one. They are just taken from different directions of the hill. The hill is indicated with "B" of the picture below

OK, from now I will put more concentration on the things related to the culture rather than the nature.
Hold your position
