The extraordinary life and death of the world’s oldest known spider

This is the story of the oldest known spider in the world and the people who knew her. The details are compiled largely from research conducted by Barbara Main and Leanda Mason, who knew her best over nearly half a century.

@edgarblythe,
Highly anthropomorphicised:)

Here's one - "Ant climbs a tree".

A, clearly, frightened juvenile, 6-legged bundle of insecurity, on an adolescent outing.......

Respect ALL Things - But don't PROJECT your bollux onto them.

@mark noble,
Talk about total buzzkill - since the day A2K hijacked that philosophy forum.

It appears the spider could still be alive but for the act of that wasp. Makes me wonder for how much longer.

@roger,
Blame the hijacker.

It's great that a spider lived well - Be great if all things did.

But painting an anthropomorphicised biography is showmanship.
I get that 'Spider lives a long time' isn't going to grab the eye - But - This story is more adjectified than the birth of jesus.

Only a Spider knows what being a Spider is like.
