I´ve always tried to make my computer so secure and fast as possible and I know some really good software to be aware and remove spyware with, but I don´t know what you guys think and I´m really intrested if someone has a better suggestion for security then me, but my best suggestion is "Webroot Spy Sweeper".

When you have installed the latest version with the latest definitions, you´re almost TOTALLY secure against spyware together with adaware and spybot - S&D.

It´s a very, very good software and if anyone know a better one than that, I would be really surprised..... so please write here!! If you know any better choice... Smile

It seems that not.. one anti-spyware is perfect.

because it depends on their definition database, even if someone says "this will be perfect" it will be ONLY "for now" because adwares and spywares are made everyday.

So, the best program would be the ones that get updated most often. And i find Webroot Spy Sweeper to be ineffective most times.

for my protection. i use two programs. Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE and Spyware Doctor.

-------------------------------------
(Lavasoft's Ad-Aware SE)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
(it is the "personal version" that is free, and good)

I like lavasoft because they update about once every 3 days. Thats quite often. And lavasoft's program tend to be extremely thorough. The downside is that scanning will take a very long time if you want a "Full scan". But again, even that everso often update is not quite perfect.

-------------------------------------
(Spyware Doctor)
http://www.pctools.com/
(you do not need to buy it, w/o payin for it.. u just don't get some features that you will not use anyways)

I started using this because it seemed to have the highest ratings by forum users. This sweeper is not as thorough, and i do not know how often the updates are released. But it tends to grab a lot new spywares and adwares

-------------------------------------
(Mozilla Firefox)
http://www.mozilla.org/

I used this as my browser instead of IE. Firefox downside is that it is not "perfectly" same as IE. But, you can change settings to be almost same as IE, and it has a lot of built-in protection.

I've always hated the idea of changing my browser, but Firefox was good. I do not use IE anymore. I do not use much of Firefox's extra options much so i got rid of the extra stuff.

it is easy to use, protects well.

Thanks for suggestions, take a look at this too!!
Yeah, I know that no spyware software is the best, but thanks anyway buddy. Smile
Soon, I just want you to know that spysweepers definitions finds a lot more than spywaredoctor and they also update the definitions almost every week with some thousands new threats every time I´ve checked.

After that notice, you should take a look at timberlandkos suggestions here: http://www.able2know.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1180468#1180468 and good luck....
