Few things need you to do please,

Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Drag HJT into it please,

Next,
Please restart HJT put a check next to the following, close all open windows and click "Fix Checked"

Next reboot to safe mode ( By tapping the F8 key on start up) Make sure you can view all Hidden Files/Folders search for and delete the above files highlighted in BOLD

Please delete any associated folders found with the above files
Restart your computer, Post back a fresh log please

Please create a folder for it please, Then double click on the program, It will save a notebook file in the same folder, Open that, copy, paste the log back to this thread please.



You will get a pop up from Nortons but allow silent runners to run please

I`m assuning that these 3 items that are showing in the silent runner log are the problem.

you need to reboot to safe mode again please , search for the following and when found delete the file and any associated folder found with it,

You need to log on as Admin to make sure you can kill all the associated folders.

Post back a fresh log from both HJT and silent runners please

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster and SpywareGaurd
Check for updates after you install them, And check weekly as well
Keep Ad-aware and Spybot handy, Check them for updates and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.

Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here Name it clean or something like that,

Mysearch2 removal
Hi Don,

did another search and found a bonedashdelete folder with exe files, got rid of it and all seems well now.

I always used to get probs found with spybot seekand destroy.

Always showed up 5 dso exploit and it always returned.

Even thats gone now, so i`m assuming that was part of mysearch2.

Thanks for the feed back on spybot, There was a bug in it that showed the 5 DSO, Sounds like this was not the case,,
