Ala.org is the only organization that comes to mind. Are there any others I should contact?

The only source for minority grants/awards/funding I've found was the Coretta Scott king Award and the John Steptoe Award for new talent. DOes anyone else have any further input?

I had to pay $12 to get access to this page so I don't know if y'all will be able to view it but it might be of some assistance if it does work. Lots of information http://www.usagg.org/page/page/1241748.htm

I don't think you should have had to pay to view this listing of US Government agencies.

Twelve dollars isn't a great deal of money, but this information is free if you know where to look.

For those in New York City:

Grants & Foundations Library
79 Fifth Avenue & 16 Street, 8th Floor
Between 15 & 16 Streets
(212) 620-4230

You can find grants for men, women, young, old, special categories, and more. They also have a category for people who live in another state, but of course you have to qualify under certain conditions.

Check your library they might be able to give you some information or at least where to go to get it.
