Thanks, Reyn!
(I've been out looking at cameras.)
The Canon seems to be a very popular camera. In image quality it's about the same as the Sony DSC-H1 which is extremely user-friendly and has a much larger viewfinder. Too bad the Sony doesn't let you zoom during movies.
The one I haven't found yet that I really want to see is the new Panasonic DMC-FZ30. Many of the same features as the Canon, but 8 megapixels and a better viewfinder. Will keep looking.
Thanks for the info!
You're welcome, and let me know how your research /buying decision turns out!
A good friend made this snowman for his son - it's about 12'
very impressive... how'd he do it?
4 sheets of plywood per level, fill conpact, fill, compact, then move the plywood up, get the 3 levels and start carving with a shovel - spraypaint some of the features,
he was saying the hardest part was getting the snow in the highest level
What is that yellow thing on the ground?
It looks like it might be someone's camera.
but the scale's all wrong.
i'm guessing its a john deere snowplow...
he told and now I have forgotten
I just zoomed in a the yellow object. It's a toy truck.
We can all go to sleep now.
phew - tha't it a tonka toy dump truck or something now I remember thanks Gus
no, no.

This is me making dinner for my back stabbing (literally) friends. I'm ok now.
whooww, that's a huge snowman - great picture husker.
Oho littlek, what happened? And what did you put in
that humongous pot to the left on the picture?
snort. that was fuuuuun. i'm sure we could have done a lot more to littlek in photoshop, but we liked the challenge of the plain paint program.
the old cemetary on the Freedom Trail in Boston from this past Saturday. Frankling is there, Boston Massacre victims (all five of them - some massacre that was. more of a skirmish, if you ask me) are there, Mother Goose, and lot more. I like the play of the light, almost looks like their little souls are wandering the graveyard.
and here's one of the stones at the King's Chapel cemetary. Not sure what the skeletons are doing. One is holding an hourglass... what's that in the middle? a candle? i should like a gravestone like this myself, i think.

as if the half dozen or so in the back weren't enough, one of 'em got you in mid-thigh as well.
i bet it was that dag character...
I saw that wound, Region, and I gasped. My first thought was that littlek had been wounded and was suffering. But then I glanced at her face and there was no expression of pain. I asked myself what sort of woman could endure such pain?
And then it hit me -- the photo had been doctored. If you examine the photo carefully you can tell that that wound was created by someone who is obviously a master of deception and a computer genius.
Whoever created such brilliance...... I bow to them.
hahahahaha! Gus, I love you.
Dasha, it's a candle and death (the skeleton) is snuffing it out. Hmmmm, wait, which one is death? The holder of the hour glass or the candle snuffer outer?
