I love that photo too. It's SO 1993! :-)

And the HS one... oh... my... god. Talk about looking just like a friend of mine.

nimh has an interesting comment about how you look so grown-up in all of them (except the first) -- change the hairdos and you really don't look that different.

I found the photo I was looking for (ooh, painful), will rustle up a few more and scan.

Ha! Well... acquaintances?

Though littlek really looks exactly like my best friend in grades 4-6 in that H.S. picture (how my best friend in grades 4-6 looked in H.S., that is... we weren't still best friends at that point.)

MzDaisy, I noticed a copy of "Gorky Park" on your bookcase. It's been a long time since I read that book, but I recall it being somewhat entertaining. I looked around but seemed to have misplaced my copy.

Please refresh my memory as to the plot and so forth.

Didn't they make Gorky Park into a movie? Wasn't it set in Russia?

I think MzDaisy & I kinda look alike, perhaps just the giant coffee cup & cig (though mine aren't in the photo). My brother used to say, "Coffee & cigarets--the Staff of Life."

This is one of my favorite threads....thanks, Calamity, for starting it.

I have to admit I thought we'd all look rather more bizarre than we do. Here we are all so smart, so wise, so witty, so darned good at writing, and so Good-Looking to boot!

I make a lot of assumptions, and I'm often wrong....I guess I just thought we'd all look weird, what with expressing ourselves so well in writing. Silly me.

I thought so too boriskitten Wink
This is a good looking forum and I always liked seeing a
face to the written words, as it makes it much more personable.

Of course, we're still waiting for gustav, the coward, ratzenhofer to show his face. Smile

Hehe shewolf,
for all we know, gustav might be a women.
I often wondered about him, when he got involved in
the knitting thread and now he's gotten himself a
Singer sewing machine, he supposedly found in the
garbage.

Why would a guy bather with a sewing machine eh?
I think gustav is actually Gertrude. Wink
