I recognized nimh from the last photo he submitted. Tangiers, 1985. He wore a black trenchcoat and the natives referred to him as "Nimh the Assassin"
His presence was formidable and I warily crossed the street to avoid a confrontation when I saw him coming my way.
Deep down in my heart I thought he was going to kill me.
That's the last I saw of him. Until today.

Nice photos nimh. For some reason, I pictured you
more conservatively, yet you're quite the hippie.
All the other a2k members are very nice to look at,
"symphatico" as the Spaniards say.
gustav, now it's your turn....

Heh - now I'm a punker and a hippie. Thats what you get for posting pics up through to fifteen years ago ...
I gratefully accept the "punker" label, though I have to humbly admit I never quite was a real punk. More like, post-punk new-wave alto something. "Hippie" however I throw far from me: despite my once-long hair, a hippie I've never been. Hip, perhaps, kinda - once the hair was cut.
Alas, my hip blue-haired days are over as well now ... as you can see from the 2004 pic, I dress quite "neatly" nowadays, and spend too much dough on the drycleaners. I wish I could still, just the once more, dye my hair bright red though ... <sighs>

When he delivers, he delivers!
Love the through-the-ages series that both you and Squinney did, I might do something similar.
What struck me is that just about every single one of your pictures, nimh, strongly reminded me of a friend -- different friends, though! I guess that partly comes from the similarity of ages/ eras. But it was weird because there was this familiarity/ recognition thing even though I don't think (!) I've actually ever met you...
(Why can't you dye your hair bright red?)

Thats what brought me to putting the whole series up. I was looking at some of these pics - a handful of the face-pics through the times - and I was taken aback by how it just seemed to be totally different persons. Like, different pupations altogether. Which I guess is pretty much right: I feel no connection with these past personas, the ones from before 2000 anyway, just a vague incredulous memory (did I really feel like that?).

My boss wouldnt understand ... Actually, I did already work here when I had the blue hair - its easy-going enough for that here, though he frowned a bit. But I didnt need to go to conferences or international meetings back then yet...

Ahh,
Mr Wolf has the same desire. He claims, when he is rich and famous...( ) he is going to be the only man in america with a spiked mohawk in a 3 piece Gucci suit, with steel toed combat boots. Now isnt that an image for corporate america? !
He wants his hawk to be red, blue and orange...
I would personally make it pink and black.. but I AM just a girl. HA!!

Hey MamaBear - is the party on?
Congrats on your good work on Valentine's Day, 16 years ago!
Sorry for the late post. Turned out beautifully. She was very surprised! She thought the party wouldn't be for a couple of weeks yet. And she told me a few months ago I couldn't keep a secret if my life depended on it!
Here she is with Bear leaving for crab leg dinner. She ate 3 pounds of crab legs! As you can see, she has grown taller since the pic of her with brother cub, but has barely gained an ounce.

Funny, but I expected nimh to be a blond. Perhaps it was those towheaded childhood pictures. At any rate, he is improving with age.
Thanks for the Sweet 16 picture, squinney! I'm with shewolf...where did she put 3 lbs. of crab legs?! Were you that thin when you were her age, too?

Thanks all. I have no idea where she puts what she consumes. She got her legs from me, but I certainly wasn't 105 pounds at 16. Must be from Bears side, who's oldest daughter is 36 and still 105.
