There's nothing here that could be misconstrued or deemed insensitive so CJ you ought not be concerned in my opinion. I know what Soz (and osso) are referring to but everyone's been very kind and inclusive so far.

And I'd like to see nimh's photo toooooo.

Calamity, I am not against this thread existing, and certainly not against you starting it. My expressed views last night were to make the nonsexynonbeautiful feel welcome. I gather you took that as a slam against yourself.

why can't everyone just get along?

Okay, I uploaded some pics to Image shack. Let's see how badly I can use it!

To assist in helping everyone relax (especially Soz and Shewolf and others with young daughters) I thought I'd post a chronology.

Grandma always said that "beauty is as beauty does." Sometimes I took that to mean I wasn't as pretty as my sister, but I could make up for it if I tried real hard to be pretty on the inside. As I've aged I've realized I really don't care what anyone looks like as far as beauty in the traditional sense. (pageants) Look at the beautiful love in in Dys. Look at the wisdom and humor in George. Look at the beautiful heritage of Shewolf, and the living of what he loves in Panzade. We don't just get our looks from genetics. We get it from living, and to me that is beautiful.

So here's my contribution. Hope I don't scare any Moms. The story has a happy ending!

JP - Yeah, You're beautiful on the inside.

My point was just that as we go through life, we have times when we look good and times when we don't. But it's the fact that we came through it all that makes us beautiful. I wear every laugh line, stretch mark and scar with pride. I wish everyone could, 'cause in the end it's not about us or our physical beauty. It's that we embraced living.

Then again, I might have that view just cause I'm not as pretty as my older sister. And, that's okay, too.

CJ- the older boy in the first pic is ME at about 5. No idea why the adults chpped my hair like that! And,please do not apologize. You just helped me make my point. We all have those pics in our albums of life.
