I ran across a photo of my niece and myself in Arcata back in 2001. I'm guessing it was just after New Year's. (No that's not my house!)
Here's a photo of myself and the doggie I doted on, and vice versa. That was also in 2001, in December, the day of my last (because it was successful) surgery for bc. My friend Bonnie the nurse came up and kept the recovery room nurses and myself in stitches and later fed me chicken soup.
In that photo that I'm glad enough to look at now since it all went well and was borderline fun as I got to see Bonnie, you can see that good old house in what I used to call northnorth. The walls were undergoing my efforts to get them ready for painting in so called heritage colors. You can see through past the hallway to the next room, home of the fantastic murphy bed I've posted about on a2k previously, pulled down since there was a guest.
Here's that murphy bed -
And finally, a much earlier photo of me - in the sink - in 1975. That was when we had a gallery, studios, and living quarters in an old eagles lodge. That place had a kitchen and a ladies and mens room, sans any shower. Gallery partner used her boyfriend's place and I used friends' places or the university - most of the time. But one day, that was all too much trouble, so..
I am discreetly gowned in that sink in case anyone suddenly came in the door downstairs and rushed up the stairs.
