I really like these (concrete) figures ...

http://i33.tinypic.com/awrqdv.jpg

You find them at various places, in a lot of towns. Here pictured (yesterday night) in the neighbour town of Rietberg, in front of the town hall (with the a covered outside staircase).

The light is a bit strange: they've the "Illuminta" there this weekend: a light show in the old town, along the river Ems, in some parks and on/around a lake.

@Walter Hinteler,
I saw some of these in Kaiserslautern, Walter. I think they are amazing - very lifelike...

Are they all over Germany? Who is the artist?
I had a friend in Germany who made such "people" a bit smaller though...

@CalamityJane,
Zhe artist, http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christel_Lechner]Christel lechner @ wikipedia.

The largest "exhibition" was in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, two years ago, where some A2K'ers saw the figures (e.g. the McTags).

Nathan is on his college soccer team. He recently got together with older sister Katrina and older brother Jeremy when his college was playing a college in Los Angeles.

After nearly a months delay....flu outbreak, shut the school down during the actual homecoming week....here is my daughter wearing her crown, freezing, but very happy.

She's so pretty, 2 pack, no wonder that she's got two suitors. Very nice!

Also wandel, I didn't know that you have three grown children already.
So two of them live in L.A.?

Come on, now. I just didn't want to get bigdice ticked off. The two of you would grab the attention in any crowd.

@2PacksAday,
Oh wow! Very poised even though, now that you say it, she looks like she's freezing her poor little butt off. That means she's homecoming queen, right? Congrats to her! (Also congrats for forgoing the salmon-pink confection to her left...)

@CalamityJane,
Katrina and Jeremy live in L.A. Katrina works as a casting assistant for television shows. Jeremy works for NCR servicing their computer products.

Nathan will graduate this year with a degree in accounting.

@wandeljw,
You did your job well, wandel - you've raised some good kids here, and Annie
is on her way to become one too!
