FQ and I had a perfect day 2 years ago - this one equalled or topped the perfect day
IT WAS PERFECT.
What to say.... no words. Knackered. Exhilarated. 2 hours journey home and we are drinking tea.
Crew..... I am on top of the world and holding the hands of the people I love.

oh...........we are bad hair days - this morning we woke up to find NO ELECTRICITY - POWER CUT. Went outside and shouted quietly in the street, "is anyone awake"... no bugger was!!!! or they weren't asnswering - so called the elec company and spoke to the employee of the year (so says I) - told him our predicament..... wannabe rockettes who are going to our first major gig and we need a hairdryer.... he said he'd send a txt thru to the crew to tell them Iz and FQ need power. BLESS HIS LITTLE POWER BUTTON.
We didn't get elec - power cut -TODAY OF ALL DAYS - so couldn't do the washy hair thing - it was just the morning after look...
... which meant - bad hair day and we had to tie up in pony tails.. which was nasty - but hey ho. WE WERE HAPPY. Did remind FQ to remove her curlers before leaving for te concert.
So..... great trip down..... FQ swears at the SatNav a lot
we got there - wonderful WONDERFUL buggy man picked us up and took me to get the tickets... he was so nice... everyone was so nice to us - it was like we had a big sticker on our back saying - "BE THE LOVELIEST HELPFULEST FOLK IN THE WORLD to these 2 gals" - and they so were. Everyone smiled at us - lovely smiles, verra happy folk. So kind.
THEN we met the Bazza and S-girl. Verry verry happy to see them - hugged him and S big...... it was JUST GREAT. We couldnt sit together throughout coz FQ and I were on the Access Podium with seats and they were partying on down at the front with sweaty Bruce.. but we were tallking and texting throughout. We've heard reports there were 80,000 there... no sure if that was true - but massive folk... just so many - simply incredible.
I have to thank Barry - he made this possible. If it weren't for him - we would not have gone. Love ya Bazza - you are a star - and you really are a tremendous friend and I thank you. S is beautiful LOVE HER. We will meet again. Soon. Crew- y'all would love Bazza (he's very humble) - he is such a lovely gent. Fab mate. Fab friend.
