The thing I worry about this thread is are all of us presently posting pics goodlooking (enough?) and therefore more valued? I don't say this for me, though I am inconceivably old to some and a tad or more pudgy, but we don't value people here primarily for foxiness to twenty somethings.

Or do we?

I think we value character, even revel in character, and I'd like to have more folks post who don't fit 20's norms but have a2k character, even if you wear, heh, white sox in your photo.

Osso, why would you say that?
I think it is nice to put a face to each user name,
regardless of their looks. It's just simple curiosity and
nothing more.

No one wants to win prices or is looking for extra validation,
it's not that the gallery had not existed before. This is
just an extension for something that was a nice idea to
begin with.

I don't think anyone gets treated differently because
of their looks. Ultimately it's the postings that count, no
matter what. Smile

I tend to share photos that are somewhat charachteristic of my personality. On a dating site I had posted one of me where my head's thrown back and I'm laughing. You can see up my nose, see a slight double chin, my eyes are closed. The one I posted here is pretty silly too, slappy had a running commentary going that night and there's a series of me sitting next to him with approriate expressions.
