on friday we took a day-trip to LAKE MAZINA and BON ECHO ROCK .
it's about 120 km north of here (eastern lake ontario) , but you might as well be at the end of the world - not much going on north of there except a few small settlements .
it's the country where "FOX AND HARE" (or rather BEAR AND PORCUPINE) bid each other good-night !

we are glad that we have such rural and peaceful country at our doorsteps .

a look at BON ECHO ROCK on lake mazina - when you call out at it from across the lake , the rock answers you .

for a change of pace we'll be hearing BEN HEPPNER - canada's famous HELDENTENOR - give a performance at grant hall at queen's university this afternoon .

About 3 hours by train, a bit less by car (depending on the traffic: a bit more :wink: ).

Little Lucy is just darling, she melts your heart, doesn't she?

The little Walter relative is cute as well, especially while hiding in
the flower field.
