and being welcomed back by the "sennerin" - she was in charge of one of the many solid stone houses kept by the "alpen verein - alpine association" .
she wouldn't serve any eggs( :wink: ) to us fellows because she thought her staff (all young women) might not be safe from us !
(but we already knew : "auf der alm , da gibt's ka suend , weil die maenner muede sind " .)

Not a wedding pic. Just one we got done in Thailand last month when we went to visit the family (we've got about a dozen similar).

Not sure about the baby's gender yet. It was a touch early when that scan was done. Find out for sure on the next one.

So..... as to the baby picture.... how should I be reading that? It looks like a shot of his or her butt.

I can see baby head and neck Wilso. I remember being there with mine. Exciting times eh but.

Every photo of Wilso's wife is stunning.

Dadpad: Wilso seems to have mixed feelings about having you as a friend.

I've been "touched up" quite a bit in that pic. They hardly had to touch Nee.

following cj's advice not to let the thread wither away , here are three photos from a 1948 summer vacation .
i had just started working as an apprentice in the spring of '48 .
i received two weeks of regular vacation and in addition - as union member in good standing :wink: - received an extra two weeks - all expenses paid !
we were housed in large ex-army tents about an hour from hamburg near the town of ratzeburg - at one time the the place where "heinrich der loewe" (henry , the lion) had his residence .
the beautiful "dom kirche" (picture 3) was just across from the tentgrounds and adjacent to a lake ("ratzeburger see") giving us plenty of opportunity to swim .
we were a happy group of teenagers who enjoyed our two weeks and worked together well after returning to the office .
