It's nice to see some sun and beach...it's been raining here for 3 days! CJ, what island were you on? I liked the photo of the surfboards, did you give it a try?

Thanks guys for helping me figure out the photo thing, I'll give it another try later!

CJ, We haven't visited Hawaii for decades, but your pictures bring back good memories - especially the beach scenes. They never seem to change.

Well, Hawaii looks good. At least it is probably less humid than Malabo...

Thank you all. It is easy to take nice pictures of Hawaii, everything
is breathtakingly beautiful there.

cicerone, it seems to never change, and that's a good thing. Too much
tourism would change the scenery and people of Hawaii tremendously.

Marty, we went only to Oahu (in a small beach community far away from
tourists), as we spent unfortunately only 5 days there.

I've never been to Malabo, Francis, so I wouldn't know.

why don't you have a look at the live waikiki beach-scene .
makes me weep ! why didn't we go to hawaii ? if we would have stayed on the ship back in 1956 perhaps they would have dropped us off in honululu rather than montreal - weeping even more !

Good link. I know exactly where that statue of Duke Kahanamoku is; it's not far from the "end" of the hotel beach area, near the park, and Diamond Head is to the left.
