Very nice views, satt! And some really excellent photos!

(Yesterday, I shot a couple of views from the "Cologne Lights" [some fireworks from ships, along the Rhine in Cologne and a ship parade] .... from the tv. Didn't work out so bad as I origianally thaught. [I'll post some here.)

satt: I'm using the raw-format now. It really gives better results (though I just get 60 pics on a 1 GB chip [but I've got six]). (And I bought a new macro lens, 1:1, 50 mmm  )

It must be a very fast lens. Shocked
Incidentally, my current favorite lens is Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D. Very Happy

It is: Sigma 50mm, 1:2.8, DG Macro, D ..... but a lot cheaper and not so good as yours

In any way, Nikon D50 is fairy good for static subjects, but not so good for dynamic (or moving) ones. It is the restriction endowed with the cheaper camera than D200. Laughing

Your photos are truly outstanding, satt.
I especially like the sky pictures - when you put them next to each other,
it makes of a very nice series to frame.

Hi, all..
Thank you for your kind comments.

It hardly be said that I have mastered using the camera, although the camera is not very hard one to use.?

Satt, such fine photographs. My favorites for my own aesthetic reasons are On Board Kitatami, and Kyoto, Evening.

I love "In the Midst of Biwa Lake" Those rocks look like they're set at the edge of the world. That's a great angle (you don't see water behind them, really). I also like "Matsushima7" and "Takeshima Island of Biwa Lake". Like Osso, I like them for my own aesthetic reasons (don't we all like art for our own aesthetic reasons?).
