The waking child asked the morning Sun;
"Who are you and why do you end my dreaming?"
The young Sun answered with a playful smile;
"Why would you choose dreams over living?
Dreams are pleasant, but only last a while,
Go on into the world and live, my child!"
The crying mother asked the silent Moon;
"Where has my boy gone, he's only a child?!
The tranquil Moon answered, between pause and breeze;
"The boy is safe and glad under my veil and guile,
Yet you've searched enough between stones and trees,
He'll be back in the morn sans bruise nor trial.
The child once again talks to the Sun;
"I've lived a day and loved each moment yet."
The Sun looks down at him and shines and says;
"I've told you boy, If you are alive why fret?
No reason to live in dreams, they are but a guess.
And a life not lived is a life to regret."
And years later, our boy who's is boy no more,
Looks down to his lap where an infant lays and says
"Look at the sun child of mine, look and remember,
Listen to it's voice, follow it's warming rays,
And at night when his light is but a dying ember,
Trust his sister the Moon to guide your way."
