I have Firefox installed on my USB memory stick. I have migrated all of my IE shortcuts to Firefox, then set it up the way I want, colors, options, etc....
When I plugged it in to a buddies computer, ALL of my settings, including bookmarks, are gone! Firefox was at it's default settings. I plugged it into my machine again and all of my settings are there.
So, my question is - Where does Firefox keep these settings? I have gone thru the files that I could read with Notepad, looking for an .ini file or something like that. I can't find these settings. Do any of you know where they are or what file they are in? I am guessing that they must be kept on the PC NOT on the memory stick. So, how do I get them stay and reference them on the memory stick?

You have to save your profile. It's located at C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
The profiles folders will have 8 random characters followed by the actual name of your profile. So it may look something like 'as982ids.Default'' or 'usj30d3e.Dads'' etc.
I'm guessing you can handle it from here.
