Which of the following sentences is correct: "Without hesitation, she took her breasts out and let him touch them" or "Without hesitation, she took out her breasts and let him touch them"?

Thank you.

It means the same thing whether the adverb is right before the verb or at the end. Some grammarians say it's better to put the modifier directly before the verb , so they would prefer "took out her breasts", but it's more of a style issue than a hard-and-fast rule.

That isn't quite applicable, what I was trying to express is the idea that one can split a verb phrase so that "take out [something]" is as equally valid as "take [something] out".

@centrox,
Two more questions:

1) In the above case, is it correct to consider "take out" a separable phrasal verb?

2) Is it possible to use "in no time" instead of "without hesitation" with no change in meaning?

Again, many, many thanks for your kind help.

Yes.

The meaning would change.

Obviously written by a man!

Women don't "take out" their breasts.

She can take off her top.... or her bra .. or her dress and reveal her breasts.

They do in British parlance. Or get them out. Men get (or take) their cocks out too.

@PUNKEY,
Listen to what Contrex is saying. Women take their breasts out over here. Just because it's not used in American English doesn't mean it's not used over here.

@ehBeth,
Maybe where you are, but not over here.

Btw, I agree it probably was written by a man.

To be exact, they get their tits out. Or vulgar men wish them to.

@centrox,
I keep thinking about Derek and Clive. Blow your tits up, the game show where explosives are attached to breasts and the ones that go highest in the air win fantastic prizes.

I'd like to see more context before deciding which one I prefer.
