Neil Halstead reminds me of Nick Drake. I'm listening to Mojave3 In Love with a View right now.

I'm a big Shins fan. Did you see "Garden State?" The Shins are featured. New Slang is a great song.

That whole shins album is pretty darned good. The first time I heard the Shins I think I listened to them for a couple of weeks straight... got a little burned out. Once Garden State came out I was like "Oh yeah... The Shins" and got back into them. The Garden State soundtrack is really good too.

Neil Halstead reminded me of Iron & Wine. They did the Such Great Heights song off of the Garden State soundtrack.

Bonus Song 2 is very appropriate today. It's Dave Brubeck's 85th birthday.

Are you sure, Swimpy? I think Brubeck was born on December 6th.

Maybe I was listing to a repeat of Bob Edwards then. He was interviewingDave and said it was his birthday.

I enjoy actually taking five... not just listening to it.

By the way, song 4 is working now. I had a server malfunction and it never completely uploaded.

Not unless REM sounds like a cross between the Grateful Dead, the Dave Matthews Band, and Paul Simon. Razz

Not all of their stuff is that good but they have a nice upbeat bluegrass feel to them. This song is off of the "carnival '99" albumn.
