Is that Bermbits? How's it going? Where have you been?
JP, I gave up on Summerfest a few years ago. I get too nervous in crowds. I miss the music though. There are always great bands. I would have loved to see Lucinda Williams.
Lousy year at school and a relatively low profile for a while, but I'm baaaack.
Sorry to hear about your school year. But, hey, it's summertime and the livin' is easy, right. Was it just a bad mix of kids?
Since, for some reason, I "have not met the PM privilege requirements for sending out PMs," I will respond here - the kids aren't what they used to be! While I have some great ones, the others just make it not so fun any more. BUT, it is summer, and I am doing great otherwise!
I'll have to check into the PM thing.
Keep posting, bermbits. Eventually, you will reach PM worthiness.
Redemption Song is one of my fav's.
Glad you like it. I was going to put a little Pink Floyd in here for youtoday , Tico... but the song I wanted was over 12 minutes and thought it would take to long to download.
Gimme Three Steps...well...it's de rigeur in a cowboy bar so I know it pretty well.
Which one?
Which is the longest single PF song? Echoes?
I was going to put up Shine on you Crazy Diamond. Part I is 12:31 and Part II is 13:40.
The next longest song I have after that is Interstellar Overdrive off of The piper at the gates of dawn (9:41).
Panz... Gimme three steps at a Cowboy bar???... who'd a thunk???
Echoes is around 23 minutes. Combine SOYCD Parts I & II and they are longer.
I used to program my cd player to play both SOYCD parts right after another before I went to bed... it would put me to sleep and put my brain in the right frame of mind for some good dreams

I call 'em cowboys but nowadays they manage dairy farms. But yeah, the whole Skynyrd thing is very South Florida
That is usually how I describe my music collection.
You like that Dick Dale song? I think it is a pretty unique rendition of ghost riders.
Yeah, it's in heavy rotation right now. I like the way it starts out so leisurely and then busts out.
Sorta like a herd of cattle grazing when a coyote spooks 'em and they take off in a thunderous herd.
His Misirlou on the "Pulp Fiction" soundtrack was just the opposite. It came in guns a-blazin'.
