I agree with that, but store bought milk is all I have access to and I don't intend to give it up. I only drink a shallow bowl of it with my cereal, Bear Naked.

It's not an emotional issue for me. If you want chemicals with a few almonds instead of milk or soy whatever, it's no skin off mine.

@edgarblythe,
I’m hooked on this almond milk. Never thought I would like it so I just bought it once and now I’m sold on it. It’s delicious!

@jcboy,
Does it have enough calcium? That's a concern for us female type persons.

@jespah,
I just checked, only 2% calcium. Checked our regular milk and it's 30% Sad

@jcboy,
Oy. I don't want to become a 75-year-old pretzel in 20 years.

This does mean, of course, MORE CHEESE!!! #silverlining

I found another Almond milk that says it has 50% more calcium than regular milk.

@jcboy,
Must be fortified as regular almond milk has far less calcium than cow's milk if memory serves me correctly. Also has far less protein than cow's milk.

I used to drink a lot of milk back in the old country, but stopped drinking milk in the U.S. until I found raw milk. Love it again! I also make my own yoghurt from raw milk - tastes divine and nothing like the sugar laden stuff you buy commercially. Dto. for commercial milk, it's chemicals pure, no thank you! Many states don't allow raw milk to be sold and I am glad California is not one of them.

@CalamityJane,
we only buy raw milk mostly cause my wife and kids are lactose intolerant. Raw milk seems to contain the single enzymes that deal with the milk sugars and help the body metabolize the milk.
In Pa its a huge business and many of the farmers have become raw organic milk purveyors and have cut ties with the large regional dairies.We also do some milk hocolate desserts and using soured raw milk makes the flavor delicious without introducing that chemical flavor from the polyphosphates
