72 Was before the system I speak of had been perfected. What you needed to be watching was the last five years Bryant coached at Alabama from around 75 - 79. If memory serves Bama won two national titles in those years and NOBODY was having any luck dealing with the Alabama wishbone. There was one bowl game against Ohio State which was around thirty-zip at halftime with Woody Hayes beating his head against a goalpost and the cameras rolling.
Could be, gunga. By '75, I was in North Dakota, and I've now been in Idaho since '77. I can't really say that I've seen a lot of Tide football over the past thirty years.
