Any idea where the doppler weather radar is situated? The official Santa Ana station has got one. (Reports are on 162.450 MHz; internet data only by subscription [thus, I can't post them] or via military links [which I can't post neither])

@Walter Hinteler,

Doppler radar domes have no connection to the weather data stations okie is referencing.

Well when I can't post something that I know or heard, you accuse me of dealing in hearsay. Are you dealing in hearsay?

No, on subscription for direct online weather services. (The USAF data is to a certain amount considered public information.)

@Walter Hinteler,
Then if it isn't hearsay by your standards, you should be able to post it. Or perhaps we could agree to accept that each of us posts information that he or she finds interesting or pertinent or remembers or whatever without the other nitpicking it to death or accusing the other of improper posting? Could we agree to do that?

@Foxfyre,
Are you kidding Foxy? What's the point in us all agreeing.

Arguing is all that matters. We won't make the slightest difference to GW.

One famous chap here drove all round the nation in a Maserati turbo 6 cylinder job speaking at meetings to promote reductions in carbon emissions. And most of the audiences drove to the gigs.

@spendius,
LOL. He sounds like our Pat Buchanan who, when running for President, drove his Mercedes to a "Buy America First" rally. I don' t think he has lived that down yet.

But my little set to with Walter doesn't involve agreement on the substance of the information expressed. It has to do with him presuming to hold me to a standard he does not require of himself. I just got tired of the self-righteous arrogance. No biggie though.

You see, Foxfyre, that would be illegal, according not only to German and US-law. I'm posting here under my real name as you know.

@Walter Hinteler,
Well then Walter, according to you, lest you be guilty of 'hearsay' you shouldn't say anything at all. At least that's the way you seemed to lecture me this morning.

I prefer to accept that you are telling what you believe to be the truth or what you heard or read accurately. I was asking for the same courtesy from you. And if you consider me too inferior to extend that kind of courtesy, then please, just don't bother with me at all. Thank you so much.

Spendius, it probably made him feel better to have a cause. Everyone needs a purpose in life. Why else would movie stars gravitate to saving the earth, saving a mouse, saving a rain forest, saving something, anything? Otherwise, they have nothing but their vain life and drug habit, or whatever else they may spend their time on.

@okie,
But I have a couple of Mormon missionaries, Jehovah Witnesses, a few Baptists, the guy in the beard down on the corner, and I think a Hari Krishna or two looking to save me. I think I'm covered even without Walter. Smile

You don't need to call yourself stupid. Just disagree with cicerone imposter, and he will do it for you. Laughing

Foxfyre says arrogance. I say it is plain old German egotism. Don't you know, Foxfyre, that the Germans are the Master Race?

If ci. hasn't told you that you are stupid and a complete idiot and that you don't understand evolution theory or the American constitution then I reckon you are more or less unemployable.

Where were we.

Oh yes.

Chinese coal fired power stations and filling the kettle with the exact amount of water.

Spendius, recent news from China states that they are building a new coal fired plant every day. Furthermore, the Chinese and India have sent messages that they will not conform to the so called lowering of so called pollution at the upcoming December climate sessions UNLESS the US and other countries give a half percent of their yearly GDP. They claim, that, after all, they are a developing country and it is not fair for them to have to cripple their industries unless properly compensated.

The hysterical Goristas keep blubbbering about the end of the world as we know it. I am looking forward to the replication of the destruction of the Kyoto Protcolm, which, as everyone who reads about climate, knows, was an abysmal failure.

@genoves,
It's hard to blame them really when you think about it. We are in no position to be getting all responsible like and all are we?
