For that matter what have the signatories of the ill-conceived Kyoto treaty "done ab out it"?

They fix further objectives... for later (Kyoto's 7% reduction for 2012 is dead, long life to -20% for 2020). By 2020, the Europeans will have ample time to find another warmonger US president to put the blame for THEIR failure on  Unless, the Earth is cooling by then as predicted by many solar physicists.

Well if some solar scientists think the earth may cool, its a good thing we are pumping out all those GHGs to keep us warm. I dont like being cold.

I like the idea that the earth might be cooling and sincerely hope that those unnamed solar scientist are correct.

(Would have to be -relatively- quite a lot, though: the statistical data for Germany were released today Crying or Very sad )

Maybe you should look at the intriguing Piers Corbyn, Walter & Steve. Another British prominent cooling believer is Nigel Weiss, of Cambridge.
Otherwise, you have Baliunas, Soon... in fact all solar physicists and of course, the Russians.
Cooling promised for asa 2012

global warming, who cares? after the planet warms to oven like temps humanity will be forced as a whole to rethink how we live, and if 95% of the population dies off we will have an easier time restarting our society with less religion and all that dumb ****.

look at the bright side.

Actually you may end up with more religion. During times of stress the ignorant and stupid look to the supernatural for help. They image ways to try to appease the ONE that is making life so miserable for them.

Sacrifice?

Offerings?

Yes, but what?

How about a baby? a virgin? a bull?

Maybe killing those that makes the ONE unhappy. That's it. The unbelievers are the blame.

Kill them!!!!!

Dr. Weiss believes that man-made greenhouse gases have recently had a role in warming the earth, although the extent of that role, he says, cannot yet be known, and Piers Corbyn predicts the weather one year in advance.

I rely on the "100-years-calendar".

What does that mean ? Do you believe the 100 year predictions?

No

There's a 'calendar', with weather observations, published in late 18th century, called "Calendarium oeconomicum practicum perpetuum".

Someone observed the weather over a couple of years and predicted such the weather for the following couple of centuries.

Were the predictions meaningfully specific? Were they accurate?

50:50 ...

Like the old, traditional "farmer's rule" ('folk wisdom'): "Kräht der Hahn auf'm Mist, ändert sich's Wetter oder es bleibt wie's ist." = 'If the rooster crows on the manure pile, the weather will change or stay as it is.'

Considering what man has done to the earth, and to each other, he perhaps shouldn't survive much longer.

On what logical basis would you make that judgement?

It is implicit.

Only if you assume the existence of some reference point independent of our existence, one that has no particular preference for mankind.

A more realistic assessment would be "the weather will change or change"
