Ah, Tigershark, you really think we are absolutely, earnestly serious in this discussion? I hate having to spell things out, but we're just having a wee bit of fun.

I know. Me too Drunk

Glad to hear it, Tiger.

Now, you go easy on the plonk. It does things to the brain, ya know!

They are all watching you Shocked

From Column 8 in today's Herald:

"On New Year's Eve, while camped at almost 1000 metres in the Victorian high country, we counted 26 satellites passing over us in the space of a few hours," reports Michael McFayden, of Tempe. "All but two of these were heading either north or south. What would this many satellites be doing over such a small section of land, and why were nearly all heading either north or south?"

I've been away for a few days working so I've missed all the excitement.

On satellites. I've never counted em but can verify that they are quite regularily visible. In fact i was at a bbq at a friends house the other night. we sat on their patio for three hours and noted 2 satellites and 4 planes in that time and they were only the ones we saw whilst solving the worlds problems (with the assistance of a few coldies).

North of Australia is what country? It starts with Ch and ends in na.

Thanks dutchy: Its been a **** of a week! Culminating in a rescue effort by several people including my wife when my pajero died 25 miles from Woop Woop.

If anything went right for me this week I must have been asleep at the time cause I missed it.

Big lightning storm here at present so don't be surprised if I feel off the plant again.

Perhaps "they" are really just one person. Ever considered that? Two different sides of the same coin, perhaps?

And now more on wild life.....

Ms. O., do you know any of these 500 hundred from school?

Melbourne on the BBC

Quote:
Melbourne youth faces party bill

Corey Delaney said he could not remember much of the party
Five hundred drunken teenagers have attacked police during a wild party in the Australian city of Melbourne.

Officers answering a complaint about noise were forced to retreat and await reinforcements after they were attacked with rocks and bottles.

[snip]

The trouble started after what appeared to be a routine complaint about a noisy party in a suburban neighbourhood. The officers backed away when confronted by a large crowd of drunken 16 and 17-year-olds.

Glass bottles and other missiles were thrown at police cars and nearby houses and gardens were vandalised before at least 30 officers, a helicopter and the police dog squad arrived to try to restore calm.

An estimated A$20,000 ($18,000; £9,200) worth of damage was done but no arrests were made.

Victoria state Police Commissioner Christine Nixon said the teenager who threw the party, 16-year-old Corey Delaney, may hold ultimate responsibility.

"He needs to learn a lesson, and one way or another we will be making sure that happens," she told a news conference.

The BBC's Phil Mercer in Sydney says the teenage host said he hoped his mum and dad would not find out what had happened.

But they have. His mother Jo, on her way home from Queensland, told the Seven Network: "We're a good family. I'm just devastated and horrified that this has actually occurred.

"Obviously he's very scared of the consequences that we're going to bring upon him."

Corey Delaney is reported to have advertised his party on the internet and by text messages and it attracted a number of strangers. He told local media his invited guests had no part in the melee.

But when asked what advice he had for other teenagers planning a home alone party, he appeared unrepentant and told the Nine Network: "Get me to do it for you.

"Best party ever, that's what everyone's saying."

This kid sounds out of touch with reality!

I think our little upstart has met his Waterloo!!

Teenagers charged in relation to party

Map: Narre Warren 3805
A teenager has been charged and bailed over a party in the Melbourne suburb of Narre Warren on Saturday night.

He was interviewed by police earlier today, before being charged with producing child pornography and creating a public nuisance.

It is alleged police cars were pelted with bottles after officers were called to break up the gathering.

One 16-year-old has been charged and bailed. Another 16-year-old will be charged on summons.

The pair will face the Children's Court at a later date.

Well let us not jump to conclusions here.
It can't be published who was charged with what because they are underage.
It might be the boy in question and it might not be.
Let's not ASSUME as it can often make an ASS out of U and ME.

With due respect, I'm assuming nothing, it is all in our newspaper The Adelaide Advertiser, name and all.
