The Blanket that Changed the World
Good news is like a blanket, all snuggly and warm,
Covering fears and cares, no matter the form.
It's much more fun to share being cozy
Perchance to share laughter, making things rosy.
Secrets too, revealed in good time
Making the sharing, right in its prime
The outside world not existing - a heaven-sent friend - who knows?
Just you and another, - "Hey, cover my toes!"
Good news is the same - filling the soul
With warmth and good feelings - there is no toll
This old world is cold - this is true but sad -
With only one way to warm it, to make every heart glad.
The polar caps would melt, turning them into gardens of joy
And the world would begin to tell a new, fresh story.
YOU are that blanket and you are here for a while
You CAN make a difference and turn frowns into a smile
If only you open your arms with your blanket unfurled
You - and only you - can and will change the world.
So you see, the blanket that changed the world is in your heart
Please - Begin to share your warmth - now is the time to start.
