Yawn, another morning riddle

No riches, no dollars, no change have I,
But much richer and valuable than one can deny.
I have no master and always restful.
I am ever present eternally defying your will
If you don't heed me, your actions beware,
Because you will be caught in an ignorant snare.

No, the answer is not knowledge. I am going to give everyone a big hint.

When I wrote this one, I read it over and over and replaced the phrase "I have no master and always stand still." with "I have no master and always restful.". My reasoning being that restul is certainly an acceptable synonym for still and doesn't give away the answer so readily. So, with that said, you guys should be able to nail this one within a few short seconds.
