Today I was thinking about the Cue Cat. Some time ago, Radio Shack was handing them out. With the Cue Cat, you were supposed to be able to connect to web pages of companies by scanning the UPC codes that would be printed with their advertisements.
I installed one, scanned a few cans of vegetables, and decided that the Cue Cat really had no practical use, and uninstalled it. Besides, it was just another piece of junk on my desk.
Today I went to Google and found this:
Link to Cue Cat
What other computer accessories, that were supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, went the way of the Cue Cat?
A lot of different zip drives, and how about the 486 processor (or was it the 286, 386 or 586 - oh well)
My web-cam is sitting in my closet.
That's okay. I just uninstalled yahoo's messanger while trying to fix a computer problem, anyway.
What about the mouse with a newswindow? It was developed by a small firm not far from the town I'm living just now... Can't remember the name.
