I enjoy the wisdom that is contained in the Book of Proverbs in the Bible. I will post some of my favourites throughout this thread.

Which proverbs do you live by or appreciate?

Here's one to start with:

"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:" (Proverbs 1:5).

Here's another one:

"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man" (Proverbs 3:3-4).

On the inside of my wedding band:
"Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a wife of noble character is from the Lord."

Lab, I've never read that one, I like it. And what a beautiful and fitting inscription to put on a wedding band.

Bib, great idea for a thread.
