Hijack This Log Help

Hello, can someone please read my Hijack This Log and advise. I was here back in October and was helped after following all instructions. I do regular maintenance and update all of the programs that was requested of me to download. Everything has been fine until a week ago. I started to notice my computer slowing down and taking way too long to load pages. A couple of uglies have popped up and even some ads. I ran Ad-Aware SE, Spyware Guard, Spyware Blaster, Spybot and did update yesterday. Norton is up to date also. Thank you.

100% clean, a few too many apps running, but that's your choice.

I am almost computer illiterate and do not know what applications should be running and what should not. If you could tell me what these are how to turn them off, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you Smile

Click Start/Run and type msconfig, then press enter.
Click the startup tab and in the list, uncheck any programs you don't need starting with windows.

Do the following programs start with windows?

C:\Program Files\Roxio\Easy CD Creator 5\DirectCD\DirectCD.exe
C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe
C:\Program Files\Musicmatch\Musicmatch Jukebox\mmtask.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe

These really aren't necessary and only serve to slow down the boot process. Check for other applications you know you don't need to start when windows starts.

They don't harm your machine, but the fewer running tasks, the better.

Hello, I did do as you asked. I do not know if I did it right, but I tried.I ran another check on Ad-Aware SE just now and it keeps showing 52 critial objects. I deleted them. They are in cookies. After I deleted them, I went to the folder, and low and behold, they are still there. I tried to manually delete them and they are replicating.. Spybot found nothing wrong. Please advise. The HJT log file seems clean, suggest downloading Spybot S+D, Spyware Blaster and any other spyware removal tools you can find.

Just a thought... did you actually check all the boxes next to each infection, prior to pressing 'Next' in Ad-Aware?

Firstly make sure Ad-aware is updated, Then close the program,
Reboot to safe mode ( By tapping the F8 key on start up)

Delete the entire contents of the below Temp folders, but not the TEMP folder itself.

Remove all the files and sub-folders from the below TEMP Folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users \Local Settings\Temp
C:\temp
C:\windows\temp

The TIF ( Temporary Internet Files) can also be emptied via:
Internet Explorer--Tools--Internet Options--General tab--"Delete Files",
Also tick the "delete all offline content" box .

Empty your Recycle Bin
Now while still in safe mode runa scan with Ad-aware,

Next,
Restart your computer and run a couple online scans,

Go Here BitDefender Scan Online
Run a scan with BitDefender , Be sure and Check Auto Clean. Make a note of anything it can't remove

Next
Go here Trend Micro - Free online virus Scan
Be sure and check Auto Clean before you do the scan. If it finds anything that it cannot clean have it delete it or make a note of the file location so you can delete it yourself.

Post back and let us know if the online scan finds anything and also if the items removed with Ad-aware show back up,
