Ok, Patio.

Gotcha. Some poet did a parody on Dickens (I think) ...I can remember on this line:

You can have your(something)
and your Mr. Pickwick,

Quite frankly,
They make me sickwick.

Nash, again, I believe.

Much concision
In Ogden.
Long and rash things
Were not Nash things.

Well - my intro poem IS a pale copy of someone - but prolly so bad as to be unidentifiable - especially as I have broken up the lines of his couplets!

My second is, indeed, a copy of Nash - and my third a sad copy of Parker.

But I fink yer first pome smells like the bard;
So, wot the 'ell ... ain't nuffin' much to fear
In plunkin' down a shillin' on Shaiks-peer.

Debacle!

I thought the first was Poe...

I'm having a heckuva time being neither too obvious ("'Twas swilling and the mouthy blokes...") nor obscure.

I'd risk a farthing more on old Kit Marlowe.
(An end effiminate he had on him.)

The rabbit left its hole and wended its way towards the web site known as a2k, continued on its way in a straight line across the uneven terraces, went down steps and climbed over curbs, passed along the Street of the Posts of the last 24 hours, turned a corner to the right and another to the left, made a right angle at the Forum Guide, went in under the closed door, crossed through the Adminstrator's room, hugging the walls so as not to stain the rugs, went on to thread called irony and declared itself home and dry.

'Twas poor Pope - but since, as I said, I broke his line rules, 'twas doubtless unidentifiable - might as well have been Colley Cibber, his contemporary and a notorious poetaster, about whom he wrote many a satire!

But - who is Hiama? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
