Encouraged by the fact that some of you liked what I wrote
here is one more of mine (and this one is my favorite) - Beware now, poet Gautam is on the loose
As the dawn breaks in the distant horizon,
I turn my body to look at you,
A sight far more rewarding,
your golden hair
spread on the pillow
giving more light
than the early morning sun
your half closed eyes
hiding untold promises beneath them,
the lines on yr face
like wild streams
carrying the nectar of life.
Let us steal some moments
from the morning
Come closer to me, my love
and rest yr head on my chest
Let me protect yr tender dreams
from the harsh reality of life
let me kiss you gently
like a rosebud brushing against yr skin
let time stop
and for ever and ever
be my aurora
Gautam,
What a beautiful love poem. I do believe that we've unleased a monster poet on the world.
Your choice of words produces such imagery. Keep it up God of the dawn! :wink:
And you, Gautam, are helios. Please keep them coming.
