Mod_rewrite question

Reply Wed 12 Jan, 2005 05:21 am
I have a Cpanel hosting account with unlimited domains. I am trying to SEO a Phpbb forum.

I need to set up the Mod_rewrite for the forum.

The only .htaccess I see in my account is located in the root of public_html.

I was instructed to just add a .htaccess with my mod_rewrite rule to my add-on domain folder. Is that correct?

How do I know if the mod_rewrite is working?

If the mod_rewrite rules don't work you will get 404 errors.
