it's just a yellow taxi
and it's speeding
on a graceful parallel course
the leafless trees
reveal blinking yellow
and stretching silver
curvy
faster
it's just a yellow taxi
and it's beautiful
Yea but the Taxi driver is stoned and keeps driving me around in circles. And I have to pay for that!
Oh, nice!
I like the use of "just" with "beautiful." I'm a sucker for tossed-off observations as opposed to Big Weighty Meaningful Statements. (The latter can be done, but are much easier to mess up, too.)
Thanks, soz. I'm not much of a writer, but sometimes I feel like writing.
I like this poem whimsical like Miro
fantastic. i love it when we describe ordinary everydat things in new inventive ways!
