Currently I have OS 9 on my G4 Mac.
My parent's HD on their imac had a problem and was replaced they were upgraded to 9.2, so I know it exists.
Is 9.2 available as a legal download from Apple?
P.S. I do NOT want to go to X yet.

I found this, but I'm not sure it's what you want. You could browse the site, ask questions or check out the different downloads.

Try "Apple menu -> Control Panel -> Software Updates."
