Suffice to say, the movie makers were not scientists. Most movie goers are not either. I liken this sort of stuff to Alice in Wonderland. We know it can't happen, but we suspend belief to play along.

Suspension of disbelief is usually necessary for fantasy or superhero films. But this scientific deconstruction of that infamous scene is pretty funny too.
