Next reboot to safe mode ( By tapping the F8 key on start up) Make sure you can view all Hidden Files/Folders search for and delete the following in BOLD

Also O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe was not found by HJT and the only things in C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\ are Viewpoint Media Player and Viewpoint Toolbar. Note: I did uninstall Viewpoint Manager. Lastly, I was to delete ONLY the file SelectedContextSearch.htm and not the whole folder, correct? All that was bolded was that file.

Download the following programs, For keeping crap off your system to begin with
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests. Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox. Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Download Spyware Blaster and SpywareGaurd
Check for updates after you install them, And check weekly as well
Keep Ad-aware and Spybot handy, Check them for updates and run them weekly
Same with your Anti Virus,

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.

Remeber to Check Windows for updates

Probably a good time to create a new restore point See Here Name it clean or something like that,

Maybe a little faster, maybe. There's still a LOT of processes running, 43 to be exact! Just to clarify, I delete the PWRSMND1 folder, or just the cache folder? Also meant to ask you. What exactly do ActiveX files/controllers do? When I've tried some online-base virus scans I had to d/l some ActiveX controllers. Thanks again for you're help.

Don, do you know anything about monitors? I just got a brand new NEC 19" flat panel for Christmas and it worked perfectly until yesterday. If you divided the screen in thirds from left to right, the far right third started kind of twiching slightly. Then it would start flickering as well and within a few minutes that part of the screen would just die and go black. It is weird because I tried turning the monitor on and off several times, sometimes it fixed it and sometimes it didn't. The times it fixed it though, problem usually came back within 15 minutes. It was also doing that this morning, but like I said it is weird, as I am typing this there is no problem at all. So I don't know if you would be able to help me or if you know someone who would. Whatever you can do for this and the other problem I really appreciate it. Thanks again~!
