My grandmother is not doing well, and will most likely not be with us very much longer, so when I drove her back home today, I brought a small digital recorder and recorded a very nice conversation with her (she talked about growing up in the Carribean, my mother when she was my age, coming to America, etc).
I plan on cleaning up the audio and burning it on a CD to give to her children when she passes away.
My question: Are there any good tutorials that anyone knows of that I can use to clean up the audio? Since I recorded the conversation in the car, there is a strong amount of background noise that I would like to cancel out. Also, she doesn't speak too loudly (she is an old woman, you know). I use Cool Edit Pro.
Its a great memento of her, and I hope someone here can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
