Unholy Light


Speaking of 2000 years ago, when my words were represented,
It seems as though they have been replaced and indeed, quite casually resented.

Lack of insight and patience in comprehension frustrates the would-be seeker,
So off they go to another's reason disregarding that which would make them meeker.

The so-called answers that they find does indeed, make sense to them,
If this wayward path be so desired - why supreme words spoken? To cast aside the gem?

Fools and fools - follow and sing your words of praise -
I hear them not. They lie to me, though you sing them all your days.

How much I have loved you mortal angel, yet you mock my love in earthly ways.
No comparison to solitary ones - Giving all - Rely only on me - The truth, the life, the way.

Cast aside your filthiness. Give all to seek only me.
Courageous cowards think they find me in temples they can see.

Mother, father, sister, brother, or spouse and children too,
Should be left behind to seek my face, these words I say are true.

The opinions expressed by others, aside from the words of the Chosen One,
Do not represent me in the fullest. Therefore, you have not begun -

To free your soul of encumbrances, casting aside the light you think you see.
For to mix earthly ways and mine, is quite unholy - don't you see?
