Tradition Vs. Truth
Tradition and ignorance proceed hand-in-hand,
To filter through souls throughout the land.
I wish I could say, "I know the reason why,"
But who would accept it, without saying I lie?
Coercion is not my middle name,
Tradition, however, is aware of the "game."
This "game of life" is not a toy.
"First things first" - Truth to enjoy.
Tradition limits and enslaves those who would see
That truth to true freedom is the key.
Doors opening, vast horizons and eternal life,
Dismissing all doubts, fears, questions & strife.
The reward of ignorance is inability to see,
Lives being wasted for all eternity.
An enemy of life has bestowed tradition's seed
And planted it in souls, believing truth not to need.
Go then, tradition, ignorance waits for you
With millions of souls - For the destruction you do.
Sweetened with vinegar, is your misguided path -
Drink hearty, for now - for soon is God's wrath.
Ignorance for truth, is but a lie -
Tradition its tool - and the free angels sigh.
I really enjoyed this peice. Very good. I really liked the line : That truth to true freedom is the key. ...it has a good ring to it. I esp. like the closing lines : Ignorance for truth, is but a lie -
Tradition its tool - and the free angels sigh. ....
Very good!
