Who is Kidding Whom?


If you have a "thing" for power, no matter the form it may be,
Whether for yourself or from another, stick around my friend, and see

Just exactly what is real in and of what is power
And who is kidding whom, in this self-same hour.

Superiority over another, whether imagined or real,
All because your peace is threatened. Is this what you feel?

So, in one-way or another, you have been beaten down,
And you want to lift yourself up off the ground?

Peace be with you dear-heart, we all have been there,
So you are not alone, even though you feel we do not care.

But is a sword, of whatever form or its usage thereof so needed
That you feel in striking back, your presence would be heeded?

Is that all your small heart can devise, without consideration
Of what is real of power, no matter its foundation?

Peace be with you, little flower of this Earth,
And Gather temper and anxiety as one while we find the true worth.

All and any power, is misleading, and not counting its effects,
Upon your own soul, and its opposite deranged reflex.

Power is like the immovable object meeting its opposing force,
No one gains, and all gets lost, in its developing course.

So you feel superior, is this all that counts in life?
Don't you see you have added to your consequential strife?

The strongest power that ever is, was or should be,
Is the freedom FROM it - This I hope that you would see.

In the end, you say you desire power only over your very life?
Allow me to teach you how to gain by loosing this self-destructive knife.

Surrender every part of your life unto God, including your next breath,
So by "loosing" all to Him, you "gain" from certain death.

Not the death of the physical self, that is minor in universal configuration,
Or have you never thought of this in life's consideration?

So God has and is YOUR power, including that of your own self -
Is that so much to fear as release and peace from this battle within yourself?

NO power IS power, because God IS that power.
This I have learned from His hand - The soul's true inner tower.

Standing tall among man's futile self-made destruction,
Yet never gloating in this power of God that is NOT of my sole construction.

The freedom FROM power, yes, even that over my own life,
Is TRUE freedom AND power - This is true power of itself.

So who is kidding whom, my frustrated sister and brother?
You TO yourself deceived, does your soul doth smother

A life basking in His light from above
Canceling all that you would and could love.

His love is the greatest power, greater than you ever thought,
Surrendering to it, there are no more battles to be wrought.

Peace surrounds you while the world around you goes to hell,
Eternal time within you, and in the end to save you, does His power dwell.

So heeding not, continue in your search for power,
As for me, I would gladly match your stubbornness in that final hour.

My strength will be God's own, while yours - who knows where from?
Because of my NON-power, will yours be over-come.

Yes time will tell of power and its final, absolute truth
I have waited on God, now will I wait for you to spend your youth

To find your power. But please - from your deepest heart - do tell me true -
Are you absolutely sure you know - just exactly -
