Every mirror I look upon
Portrays a new image
Counterfeit, unfamiliar
So many different faces
Never-ending changes
A lost identity
An independent being
No courage to show
The real thing
Every mirror depicts
A new dimension of me
So many possibilities
Today glad, tomorrow sad
A life of pasted on faces
An imitated being
Every picture taken
A new element captured
Never really seen
Caught beneath the surface
Lost, wandering
No image to take
Awaiting the day
When I can escape
A freed being
