A Moment in Time - Forever in Eternity
(A rather mixed poem - my apologies)

Lightning flashes past, Faster than a life.
Yet as sparks are lightning's essence,
The spark of life is shown with its presence.

A shadow on the grass fleeting though they entwine,
Nevertheless they are there, reminding us of life.
Silent sentinels daily, yours are yours and mine are mine.

Quickly gone, soon to reappear,
Lightning and shadows reflect passing time.
Teaches me MY shadow, with nothing to fear.

Time immemorial, eternally sublime,
Breathing in and out, and before it is taken,
Fear dispelled, peace is at hand, God plans each breath.
My soul He has shaken,

And with Him, breaking my yokes and bands.
There is no death, but a passing reflection,
Of a temporary existence, to temporarily detain
On a planet so diverse, what is to fear?

For forever's field is the next plain,
Filled - without perplexing.
This moment of time, filled with eternity,
Begins and ends with its own future and past,

Linking both to the present - filled with contemplation.
Forever in eternity.
